If the word “ceremony” makes you cringe: me too. Don’t get me wrong, there are some lovely ceremonialists who weave beautiful magick—but it’s just not for me. I find the majority of ceremony to be stuffy, highbrow, rooted in classism, and overall too structured. The amount of rules, regulations, and boundaries feel suffocating to me, they leave no room for the intuitive, the flow, the magick of co-creating energy, as opposed to directing energy.

I do not create ceremony.

I create ritual.

Not rituals like Wiccan esbats or Thelemic rites; Rituals like Woodstock, that first cup of coffee in the morning, or the thrill of snake handling in the mountains of Appalachia (even when you know the serpent has been milked beforehand)

Unique. Deliberate. As simple or complex as desired.

As much power as there is in the repetition of ceremonial and “high magick” rituals, there is a different power in the creation and execution of a ritual that has literally never been done before.
